| Catalytic lamps burn alchohol based fragrances. The lamps employ a catalytic burner which, after being pre- heated, sustains the oxidation of the fragrance without open flame. There are a variety of catalytic lamps on the market today. Some of the brand names you may recognize are: Alexandras, Le Grande, Lampe Berger and others. Aroma-Organics aromatherapy fragrances will work well in any quality lamp. A high quality lamp from an established maker will ensure the correct operation of the lamp and fragrance. Buying lamps of inferior quality will result in un-satisfactory results. It is especially important the the wick and burner be of the highest quality. Poor quality burners tend to have a short life.
